Built nearly 200 years ago, Tan Ky House has the typical architecture of a Hoi An townhouse, with the interior divided into many compartments, each with its function. The front of the house is a place to open a shop, and the back side connects with the river harbor to make a place to import and export goods.
The house is built with traditional materials and created by local carpenters and bricklayers, so it has its own elegant and cozy appearance and shows the interaction with the architectural styles in the area. On February 17, 1990, Tan Ky House in Hoi An received the National Historical-Cultural Relic certificate.
